Olivier Gillier is an international finance executive, entrepreneur, and investment professional with more than two decades of experience in global markets, asset management, and cross-border investment strategies.
He is the co-founder and Principal of RioBlanco Capital LLC, an investment firm based in Puerto Rico focused on private credit, real estate, and alternative investments. He was also the founder of GC Group Capital LLC, a firm specialized in international investment strategies and advisory services. Through these roles, Mr. Gillier has been involved in structuring and managing investment platforms and advising high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors on global portfolio strategies.
Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Gillier held senior positions at major financial institutions. He served as a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch International in New York, where he worked for eight years advising clients and managing investment portfolios within the firm’s global markets division. Before joining Merrill Lynch, he worked at Citigroup in New York, focusing on asset management and investment strategies. He began his professional career as a consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Brussels, Belgium, where he worked on financial and strategic advisory assignments.
In addition to his work in finance, Mr. Gillier has been active in academia. He served for six years as an Adjunct Professor at VLEKHO Business School in Brussels, where he taught Portfolio Management and Securities Valuation to finance majors. He later held a second tenure as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Monaco, contributing to the education of students in international finance and investment management.
Mr. Gillier is also involved in philanthropic and public service initiatives. He served on the Board of Trustees of the ICLA Da Silva Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting healthcare and charitable programs for children. In addition, he holds the position of Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he promotes economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations between Belgium and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as well as the US Virgin Islands.
His contributions to business and international commerce have been recognized by the Institute of Directors of Monaco, which honored him for “Showing Promise and Excellence in the Economic and Commercial Field.”
Through his career spanning global financial institutions, academia, entrepreneurship, and diplomacy, Mr. Gillier has focused on developing investment platforms, fostering international economic relationships, and supporting educational and philanthropic initiatives.
