Eduardo Tugendhat has led pioneering work in the design, financing and operation of transformative multistakeholder strategies and programs that achieve economic, social and environmental outcomes at scale. In particular, he has partnered with food and agriculture companies, sources of financing and networks of farmers to test and scale ways of de-commoditizing agricultural systems in ways that profitably incentivize improved stewardship of natural resources together with more resilient livelihoods for producers and sustainable/net zero supply chains for corporates and investors.
He recently established Bold Agribusiness Ventures to directly invest in and develop agroforestry and regenerative businesses. He is a strategic advisor to Palladium, particularly on programs involving regenerative agriculture and agroforestry. He is also a Strategic Advisor to Nature & Co., a pioneering company in Europe which is investing in and scaling regenerative agriculture businesses.
Previously, at Palladium between 2016-2025, he was first Director of Thought Leadership and then became Director, Natural Capital Business which focused on strategies and innovations that generate more resilient livelihoods for farmers through sustainable practices and long-term partnerships with progressive end buyers. Particular focus was given to innovative financing vehicles.
Mr. Tugendhat was co-founder and CEO of CARANA Corporation, now part of Palladium. He started his career at Arthur D. Little as a management consultant. He has worked in over 80 countries.
With Professors Kaplan and Serafeim of the Harvard Business School, he co-authored “Inclusive Growth: Profitable Strategies for Tackling Poverty and Inequality” published in Harvard Business Review in January 2018 and “Intelligent Design of Inclusive Growth Strategies” published as a Harvard Business School Working Paper in 2019.
Mr. Tugendhat has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a masters from University of Wisconsin.
