Alfonso Tafur is a senior defense intelligence professional and founder of Meridian West, a firm specializing in obtaining non-traditional data for public and private customers. With over 15 years of national security experience, Mr. Tafur held leadership roles with the Special Operations Command, Navy, Army, and intelligence community, including seven deployments augmenting combat operations around the globe. 

His awards include the Naval Intelligence Professionals Award for Maritime Analytic Excellence, the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Professional of the Year, and the Director of National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation. Mr. Tafur holds a Master's in International Business from Florida International University and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
